3SC goalkeeper, Kola Ige has said he was confident the Ibadan based outfit were not going to return empty-handed when they travel to Umuahia to face Abia Warriors this weekend.

The newcomers kicked off their comeback campaign tottering in the first two matches of the season but got their steam back with a point at Nasarawa United in match day 4 clash in Lafia while they upped the momentum with a 2-0 spanking of Kwara United in match day five tie in Ibadan on Wednesday.
Ige said he knew that once his side were able to claim a game their migraine headache will forever be a thing of the past. “I think the difficult period is steadily nearing to run its full circle though the situation does not call for complacency or relaxation. “Of course, there is nothing like relaxation in the lexicon of 3SC as you’re expected to be up and doing at all times.
“We’ve a bit of relief right now following the point we picked at Nasarawa United and the three points against Kwara United. “Prior to the last two decent results the pressure as well as tension was at its breaking point, you can feel and perceive it wherever you turn your face.
“Although I understand that what we needed was game to build our confidence now that we’ve got the tonic it’ll greatly help us in the game at Abia Warriors. “We’re taking the new found winning aura to Umuahia and I’m certain we won’t come back empty handed,” Ige told supersport.com.
3SC now have four points in their kitty from maximum 15 in the five-week old Nigerian top flight though with a game at hand against champions, Kano Pillars.
