Bowen University Lifts Ban On Camera Phones

The Authorities of the Bowen University Iwo, has lifted her ban on the use of Camera Phones by students of the University, beginning from the 2014/2015 academic session.


In a state by the Vice Chancellor of the Bowen University, despite the lifting of ban on Camera phones, the University still expects responsible usage of these electronic devices at all times.
The University prevent students from using their devices during worship services in the chapel, while lectures are on-going, etc.


Also, to maintain a measure of responsibility, and prevent any social or unwanted experience and to maintain discipline and ensure security, the University has placed some restrictions on the type of Camera Phones allowed to the school;


• The phones brought by students to the University should not cost more than N20,000.00(both new, and used.
• Used(tokunbo) phones will be assessed based on the price when new.
• Every student is expected to possess only ONE mobile phone at a time.
• Tablets costing more than N50,000.00 when new can no longer be used.
• There is no restriction whatsoever on laptops.
