Tips to Get Over Your First Love

Your first love is very difficult to get over.. it's that way because you thought you'd spend the rest of your lives together. You made plans for the future to live together. Now that it's over, you're scared that you'll never find anyone to ever replace them, or maybe you're just afraid that you won't ever be as happy with someone else.



I know you've tried everything possible, yet it seems nothing is working.. don't worry.. these tips really work like magic, if you use them.

8 Ways to Get Over Your First Love:

1. Try not to think about the past.. try not to dwell on your ex boyfriend or girlfriend. This will save you a lot of heartache and pain.

2. Cut off all communication with your ex. It sounds harsh, but it's the only thing that works. You probably feel like you're losing the best friend you ever had, the only person who truly understood you. It might hurt at first, but it will get better. You cannot be friends while you attempt to get over each other.

3. Give yourself enough time to grief. Despite the fact that I don't want you to dwell in the past, you need to give yourself some time to grieve the relationship. It can take months, even years to fully get over your first love, but with time, it will get easier

4. Remember that you will Love again. To be honest, you'll probably love a lot sooner than you expect, especially if you meet someone who really clicks with you. Anyway, don't rush love.. but don't ever think that you aren't going to love again.

5. Don't hook up with your ex. If you do, you'll start right back at square one, and all the work you did trying to get over him/her will be wasted. "out of sight, is out of mind"

6. Let yourself cry. If you bottle it all up, it will only make things worse. Crying can help to release your emotions. Just let it all out. After this, you will feel a lot better. Trust me on this one!

7. Pour out your heart in writing. While trying to get over your first love, start a journal that you could write in. That will really help you get through the bad times, and one day, you'll look back and see exactly what you were feeling during those times. Start a journal, it really helps!

8. Finally, give your emotions enough time to heal. Don't jump immediately into another relationship—just because you want to find that feeling you experienced with your ex again. You might not feel that for a while..so, just let your wounded heart heal.
